Our Mission (DO)

To create, develop and deliver stimulating STEM educational programs, cultivating STEM experiences and invigorating STEM activities, workshops, and camps for diverse, multicultural, historically underrepresented and disadvantaged populations. Through STEM concepts; students will discover and ignite a passion to pursue any and all things STEM in an environment where STEM exploration, innovation and critical-thinking is implemented through interactive engagement, project-based learning, and real-world applications that are designed to foster and equip a growth mindset in STEM education within the context of social, emotional learning process!

Learning Knowledge Worldwide (LKW) STEM FOUNDATION is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which exists to provide opportunities through “STEM Education” that will inspire “Future STEMologists” at a critical juncture along their K-16 STEM educational and career pathway development to “sySTEMically” impact our world as the next generation of innovative thinkers, creators and developers!

ABOUT LKW STEM FOUNDATION

LKW STEM FOUNDATION was founded to ensure that STEM learning is not only accessible, but joyful, engaging, and meaningful for all learners! Founders Dr. Lavar J. Watkins and Kristina H. Watkins began with a simple belief: when students feel curious, supported, and inspired, their confidence and possibilities expand. Our programs solve real educational challenges by replacing passive instruction with exploration-based, hands-on experiences that connect learning to the real world. We partner with schools, libraries, educators, and communities to design STEMtastical learning experiences that build skills, belonging, and future pathways. By leading with curiosity, care, and intentional design, LKW STEM FOUNDATION consistently exceeds expectations—turning inquiry into impact!

Affectionately called “Team Watkins” by family, friends, and colleagues, Dr. Lavar and Kristina Watkins are both Founders and CEOs of the non-profit LKW STEM FOUNDATION. Each leading a distinct lane – Executive Leadership and Education – so that LKW STEM FOUNDATION can grow with clarity, excellence, and integrity. With their unique skillsets, interests, and passions aligned, they work together with extreme efficiency in a complimentary collaborative manner that produces an extraordinary and unique experience for all!
